James Huenink is a pastor, writer, photographer, and researcher in Chicago Lutheran history and the history of black Lutheran ministry in Chicago and America. His work highlights the stories of urban Lutheran ministry to show how the culture of urban centers affects the ways congregations serve their communities.
He is the founder of the upcoming website, Digital Archive for Urban Congregations (DAUC), which offers public access to collections of archives from urban congregations for historical and genealogical work.
